Katharine & Beau: Kick-off wedding season at The Stakeout!!
Wedding season has officially arrived, and I couldn’t be more excited to share some highlights from Katharine and Beau’s gorgeous celebration at The Stakeout in Taos, New Mexico!
This year marks the start of my new role as Event Director at The Stakeout, a stunning all-inclusive wedding venue nestled in the Land of Enchantment. While I’ve previously worked with the Stakeout family on their Holiday and Summer Market events, stepping into this role has been a rewarding opportunity to combine creativity, community, and a love for event planning.
A Beautiful Start to the Season
Katharine and Beau’s wedding, held on May 4th, was the perfect kickoff to the season. May is lilac season in Taos, and if you’ve ever experienced it, you know it’s magical. The air is filled with the intoxicating scent of lilacs, and their vibrant purple blooms add a stunning touch to any wedding. The lilac season is fleeting—lasting about a week—but it creates an unforgettable backdrop for photos and memories.
One of the many reasons I fell in love with Taos is its seasons. This town offers the best of all four seasons, each with its own unique charm, making it an exceptional destination for weddings year-round.
The Stakeout: A Gem of Taos
The Stakeout is more than just a venue; it’s a full-service experience. Established in 2019, it overcame the challenges of the pandemic and is now celebrating its fifth year of operations. The team here is absolutely incredible.
This year’s culinary team is led by the talented Chef Angelle-Leigh Breaux, who brings her rich Cajun roots from Louisiana to the table. She’s joined by her partner, Chef Kevin, a native New Mexican who infuses the menu with local spices and flavors. Together, they craft menus that are as memorable as the events themselves.

Planning Katharine and Beau’s wedding was a seamless and joyful experience. Although I had just stepped into my role, my years of experience as a producer in Los Angeles equipped me to hit the ground running.
Katharine and Beau came to us with most of their plans already in place—from their accommodations to where they’d get ready. My role was to help refine the details, guide them through The Stakeout’s amenities, and create a cohesive timeline for their big day. Everything came together beautifully, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect.
